Lee Hanson

Lee Hanson is the State President of One Nation Tasmania, committed to building a strong grassroots political movement that gives everyday Tasmanians a genuine voice.

Lee moved to Tasmania in 2012 and proudly calls this state home. Her two children were born and raised here, and like parents and grandparents across Tasmania she is deeply invested in the future we are creating for the next generation.

Politics was never the path Lee expected to take. Growing up as the daughter of Pauline Hanson, she saw firsthand the extraordinary highs and difficult lows her mother faced. Rather than deter her, they made her more determined to stand up for what she believes is right.

She is extremely proud of what her mother has achieved, and determined to see that work continue. For One Nation to only grow stronger and the party deliver the change Australians need.

Before entering politics, Lee built a career spanning strategy, organisational change and transformation, policy and human resources, working across major Tasmanian organisations including the University of Tasmania, TasWater and Hydro Tasmania. It gave her a strong understanding of people, policy and what it takes to turn ideas into change.

As State President, Lee has helped lead the establishment and growth of One Nation and the team in Tasmania. Together, this leadership team and our valued members have achieved the party's registration in the state.

Lee describes herself simply: dedicated, hardworking and prepared to fight for what is right. She believes politics should be about people, not political careers, and that representatives must have the courage to listen, speak honestly and stand by their principles.

Tasmania is Lee's home. Its future is personal to her, and she is determined to help build a stronger Tasmania for her children and for everyone's children and grandchildren.
